What does home mean to you?

What about Bed Stuy makes it home?

What does your block look/smell/sound/feel like? Who is there?

What can our future home look like?

You are invited to add to an archive of stories about what makes Bed Stuy home for Black people by contributing your memories, photos, thoughts, and artwork to an archive being built for us, by us. This is part of an ongoing project called Home is in the Stories that preserves stories of home from Black Bed Stuy residents.

Artist Kira Joy Williams collects these stories through interviews with participants answering the questions above, with their portraits, and now, through contributions from neighbors like you! This project is supported by The Laundromat Project.
